M Michael Wolfe MD, Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Michael is the Charles H Rammelkamp Jr MD Professor of Medicine and serves as Chair of the Department of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, MetroHealth Campus. He received his BS and MD degrees from The Ohio State University and has devoted his career to the investigation of the biological relevance of gastrointestinal regulatory peptides. He has authored or coauthored over 300 original scientific manuscripts, chapters, reviews and abstracts, and has edited several clinical medicine textbooks. Michael also served as Chair of the Advisory Board for Gastrointestinal Drugs at the US Food and Drug Administration from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2003. He is the inventor of a method for treating episodic heartburn that culminated in the heartburn medication Pepcid Complete®.
